About the Course

This course is for the age group 6-7 years. A preparatory course introducing western music and basic knowledge to begin a formal journey. Focusing on ear training and pitch correction to prepare them for the formal training.

Prerequisites:

• Age 6 years and above.
• Interest in singing and music.

Topics Covered:

• Vocal exercise: Major scale, Intervals, Octaves, Legato/staccato, Arpeggio
• Dynamics: Crescendo, Decrescendo, Accent.
• Trivia/ Quiz
• Songs: Disney, Broadway, Folk, Pop, Country.
• Breathing Techniques
• Song Writing

Learning Outcomes:

Once the students complete this fundamentals module, they will:

• Understand the physical and mental requirements for formal training.
• Learn to enunciate and use the vowel placement correctly.
• Practice singing lyrics and phrasing.
• Get tools to improve pitch and get ear training.
• Start building a western music repertoire to expand their understanding of western music.
• Learn the important and necessary muscle use and technique needed to form the foundation of western vocals.
• Learn trivia and many music related facts.
• Dabble in composing and songwriting skills. 
• Learn important tips about stage and mic handling.

About the Course

Music Pandit’s Western Vocal Classes for Beginners is a great starting point for children. The aim of this beginner’s curriculum is to provide students with a better understanding of their own voices and then gradually train their voices to sing by following a healthy and accurate technique.

About the Course

The Western Vocal Level 1 course is the second course in the beginners level. This course is to help students understand some of the fundamental topics that they have done in the previous course and learn more advanced and detailed things about it through a more advanced vocal warm up and technical exercises.

This course prepares the student to appear for one of the Grade 1 international music examinations. The course also focuses on offline performance tips and online performance techniques.

• • Age 6 years and above.
  • Completed Western Vocal Initial course or any other similar level vocal examination.
  • Interest in singing and music.

• Vocal Resonance: Mouth Resonance, Mask Resonance
• Scale: Major and Chromatic
• Intervals: 2nd and 3rd
• Rhythmic study: Syncopation, Triplets
• Vocal Techniques: Vibrato, Sustain
• Theory: Introduction to Sheet Music
• Music terminology: Basic Terminology and Rhythmic Value
• Improvisation and Ear Training.
• Performance Techniques: Offline and Online

About the Course

Western vocals grade 2 is the third course in the beginners level. In this course, students will study about various vocal effects and styles in more depth. They will further study about minor scales and along with the major scale. Genre study and rhythmic study will be the focus along with beginners level theory.

  • Completed Western Vocal Level 1 course or any other similar level vocal examination. 1 year of formal training.
  • Interest in singing and music.
