Pezetgumbe Newme is a Singer, Songwriter, Performer and Music Teacher. 

 

He is trained in Western Classical Singing and performs Contemporary, Broadway, Classical and other Genres of Music as well.

He has performed as a solo act as well as in groups such as The Harmonic Voices Nagaland, The Shillong Chamber Choir, Vienna Chamber Orchestra on several national and international stages

Choir Auditions

Are you an aspiring singer with a passion for music and a desire to sing in a group? The Music Pandit Show Choir is excited to announce open auditions for children who want to be part of our exciting musical journey!

Audition Criteria:

Age Group: Children aged 9 to 16 years are welcome to audition.

Musical Enthusiasm: We’re seeking young talents with a genuine passion for singing and performing.

Vocal Ability: While prior singing experience is not mandatory, it is preferred. A pleasant singing voice and the ability to hold a tune are essential.

Team Player: Show choir is all about teamwork, so we’re looking for individuals who can collaborate harmoniously with fellow choir members.

Commitment: Dedication and willingness to attend regular rehearsals and performances are key.

Prepare a short vocal piece/song to showcase your talent. You can choose a song of your choice or a section of a well-known song. The auditions are happening online and will include a brief vocal assessment by our choir director.

Choir Beginner Course Details

About Choir Singing Class:

This online course offers students the opportunity to explore and be a part of the rich history of Choral Music. Members of the Choir are exposed to vocal literature from various styles of Western music. Students will learn to use their voices to the best of their abilities as a part of the Choir.

Prerequisites:
  • Age 9 to 16 years.
  • Interest in music and singing.

  • Basics of vocal techniques
  • Basics of breathing techniques
  • Choral mindset
  • Basics of vowels production
  • Basics of diction and consonants
  • Basic music theory
  • Sight singing introduction
  • Songs at foundation level
Learning Outcomes:

With our fun, easy-to-understand, and interactive classes, students will:

        The curriculum will have 3 levels each with varying degrees of difficulty as the grade progresses.

        • Foundation (Grade 1-3) will be for a duration of at least 8 months in which the students will develop and understand the basics of Choral Singing.
        • Intermediate (Grade 4-5) will be for a similar duration (6 Months) during which the students will have developed a certain degree of proficiency in Choral Singing and Music Reading ability. The students will get to perform in front of live audiences for practical learning experience.
        • Advanced (Grade 6-8) can be for an indefinite period of time. A Touring Choir can be selected from among the advanced students. The students are proficient in Choral Singing techniques and are expected to have advanced Music Reading ability.
