About the Course
Western vocals grade 5 is the third course in the beginners level. In this course, students will study about various vocal effects and styles in more depth. They will further study about minor scales and along with the major scale. Genre study and rhythmic study will be the focus along with beginners level theory.
Prerequisites
- Age 6 years and above.
- Completed Western Vocal Level 4 course or any other similar level vocal examination. 4 years of formal training.
- Interest in singing and music.

- Intervals: 4th and 5th Intervals
- Rhythmic study: Syncopation, Triplets

Once the students complete this fundamentals module, they will:

- Have a good grasp on pitch accuracy and note jumping.
- Learn different vocal effects and techniques for various genres.
- Apply important vocal techniques to the songs of their choice.
- Sing independently on karaoke tracks.
- Add complex songs to their repertoire.
- Learn offline and online performance techniques.
- Learn mic and stage handling techniques.
- Compose and experiment with song writing.
- Learn fundamental music terminologies.
- Prepare for Grade 2 examination.
