If the sound gets muffled while you go lower it may be due to the lack of glottal compression on your vocal folds, and in that case, a brighter forward tone can be helpful for you. Another reason could be that the back part of your tongue pulls back due to which the sound gets suppressed. In this case, you should do a few tongue exercises and develop more back tongue awareness. You can start your note and gradually slide it up and down. Just by going high and slowly can feel comfortable, and hence, you can increase your voice range by warming up your voice. After some time, this range will become bigger, and your voice will be stronger.

This trill is vocalized when you move your voice between two notes. For this exercise, you need to start with the light hum and follow it with the “ee” vowel or “oo” vowel sounds. You can then eventually work into an “AH” vowel. You just need to remember to maintain the required brightness on all those vowels.
